...the post that was almost not published
HEY! Actually, today I'll be talking about, well, today! There are still a few events that happened previously that I've yet to cover but since this is fresh from memory it'll be more detailed.
So today was the first day (June 14) of the OMPR campamento which is basically a series of classes that go on for a week organized by OMPR for students who pass the TST. And yes, the TST is one of the events that I'll cover soon. The classes will only go on for this week, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM. There's an hour lunch break in between from noon to 1 though. Other than that, it's nonstop classes. The only problem with it is, firstly, the material they've gone over today was far too simple so it was learn anything new out of it. Secondly, the classes are taught in Spanish!! Yeah, not very student-friendly if you're not a native speaker LOL.
The thing is, I actually have another summer camp that also started today (June 14). It's called Ideamath and yeah, it's also all revolving around math. The classes of this camp go from 2-4 in the afternoon and then pick up at 7-9 in the evening.
Okay, apparently I never finished this post. So I'll finish it right now. The current date is 7/12/2021. It's nighttime. The Ideamath camp already finished LOL. Although I knew a lot of the material, there were still some points that I kinda forgot and the classes gave me a chance to review. Mhm, and besides that, I did get to meet and make a few new coolio friends. And you know, since it's a math thing, a ton of the kids there were Asian like myself which was really cool considering how I don't get much interaction with other ABCs here in Puerto Rico. There just aren't that many at all here so yup, meeting a lot of other ABCs was super sweet.
Overall, the homework was decently difficult providing some challenges here and there so I think it was placed at a good level. The tests were also pretty good, there were 2 tests for the evening class and I don't think there was one for the afternoon one. The tests were pretty hard, especially the geometry portion of it. On one problem I had to use coordinates and euclidean geometry and it was a cool solution that took a while but, it was right in the end YAYYYY!
Okay, so I'm going to start writing every day again. I had a moment today. An epiphany, if you will. And I think I can do it again. Cya tomorrow.
